But the landlocked city has no beaches, with many having to head to the east for golden sand.

Opening next year, however, is Evermore Orlando, a huge new leisure complex.

Across the 1,100 acre-complex will be 10,000 bedrooms with private holiday homes including 2-4 bedroom villas to 5-11 bedroom houses.

Otherwise there will also be a brand new 433-room Conrad Orlando hotel on-site, with an on-site spa and outdoor swimming pool, with accommodation ranging from rooms to suites.

And in the middle will be the eight-acre water lagoon, with 20 acres of sandy beach around the outside where you can find everything form hammocks to sandcastle-building lessons.

Don't worry about burning - Evermore has the world's first touchless sunscreen application system which covers your body in 10 seconds.

If you want to head to Disney World there will be a coach to take you the three miles.

But Evermore will also have lots of on-site activities.

Golfers can choose between the Cypress Course and the Links course, designed by Jack Nicklaus’, considered to be one of the greatest golfers in history.

And evening activities will include a beach cinema, live music and communal fire pits.

Guests won't go hungry with 18 dining options inside.

Three are full restaurants - Sophia's Trattoria serving Italian, Floridan restaurant Twin View and rooftop experience Signature Dining.

Otherwise there are lots of food halls and stalls serving quick meals to go, or opt for the many bars and lounges.

Only guests can use the resort, with bookings open for stays from February 5, 2024.

Rooms at the Conrad start from £728, while a two-bedroom villa starts from £297.

Christopher Kelsey, President of Dart Interests behind the resort, said: "We designed Evermore to introduce an entirely new hospitality category that will forever change the landscape of luxury vacation rental homes.

"Evermore is Orlando’s only true destination resort worthy of a vacation even without a trip to the theme parks.

"Within the resort, we have created whole neighborhoods of resort-owned, purpose-built vacation rental homes in concert with a true luxury hotel to provide high-quality, bespoke experiences for all sizes and types of groups from couples to large conferences, particularly including multi-family and multi-generational vacations.”

To get to Evermore, you can fly into Orlando International Airport, which is just 18 miles away.

Earlier this year, Norse Atlantic Airways launched cheap flights from London Gatwick to Orlando for just £205 each way.
