Phil Rosenthal is the award-winning creator, executive producer, writer, and host of “Somebody Feed Phil,” Netflix’s most popular food and travel show. This Emmy-nominated unscripted documentary series, which combines his love of food and travel with his unique brand of humor, has enjoyed over 24 million viewers in 190 countries, and has become must-see TV for foodies, restaurateurs, travelers, and armchair enthusiasts all over the world. Rosenthal recently won a 2022 Critics Choice Real TV Award for “Best Travel/Adventure Show,” and he also garnered a 2022 James Beard Award nomination for “Visual Media—Long Form.”
Rosenthal’s early writing credits include the comedy series “Down the Shore” and “Coach.” In 1995, Rosenthal created the hit CBS comedy “Everybody Loves Raymond” which premiered the following year. He served as the showrunner and executive producer for all nine years of the show's very successful run, which ended in 2005. During its original run, the show was nominated for over 70 Emmy Awards, and won 15 awards, including two for “Best Comedy Series” in 2003 and 2005.
Rosenthal was born in Queens, New York, and moved with his parents and brother to New City, New York, where he was raised. After graduating from Hofstra University on Long Island, where he majored in theater, he embarked on a career as an actor, writer, and director in New York City.
Rosenthal lives in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Monica Horan (who played Amy on “Everybody Loves Raymond”), and their two children.
Ricky Ly is a local community activist, author, and the founder of the local award-winning Orlando multimedia food and travel guide, TastyChomps.com. The son of Vietnamese refugees, he grew up in and around local Asian markets and restaurants and is passionate about sharing stories about our local Orlando food and beverage scene. He has been named by Orlando Magazine Orlando's 50 Most Powerful People - Ones to Watch in 2023 and 2024, Orlando Sentinel's Culinary Hall of Fame, and Orlando Weekly's People Who Make Orlando A Better Place. He currently serves on the board of directors for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida working to find solutions to ending hunger in our community and is the co-founder of AAPI Coming Together, a local Orlando organization focused on increasing AAPI civic engagement. He was recognized for his work by Congressman Darren Soto for AAPI Heritage Month, having his biography read into the US Congressional Record.
