Disney reopens Typhoon Lagoon Water Park after nearly 2 years of refurbishments

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Guests can once again splash around in Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.

The company re-opened the park on Sunday, after crews closed it about two years ago for refurbishment.

Guests can still enjoy some of their favorite attractions, like Miss Adventure Falls and Castaway Creek.

They can also buy some new menu items as part of Disney’s 50th anniversary.

“Guests traveled from all over to immerse themselves into the storm-strewn paradise to once again experience their favorite thrilling water attractions and the tropical family fun during Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary celebration,” a park spokesperson said in a news release.

Meanwhile, Disney has closed Blizzard Beach on Saturday for refurbishment.
