Holocaust Memorial Center offers a sneak peek at its new Orlando facility

MAITLAND, Fla. — Since 1986 The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida has become an invaluable asset.

The center, located in Maitland, has used lessons from the Holocaust “to build a more just and caring community where all people feel safe and respected,the center’s website reads.

In the years since its opening, the center has grown as more and more exhibits have been added.

Soon the learning center will be moving from its 7000 square foot home in Maitland to a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in the heart of downtown Orlando.

The new 43,000 square foot facility will be built where the old Orlando Chamber of Commerce was located, thanks to a lease from the city.

The new space will allow the center to grow its mission to use the history and lessons of the Holocaust to build a just and caring community.

The new center is expected to open in 2025.
